Self-Improvement at Smash is simple; you just have to show up. You’ve already decided that you needed to improve when you signed up, so what is there to think about? Don’t even think about it. If you consider going to the gym you can talk yourself out of it. There is always an excuse if you’re looking for one. 

Show up mad; show up tired; show up when there is traffic; show up when you don’t feel like it. Just show up and we will take care of the rest. Do it now or you’ll wish you did later. 

 If you show up consistently and do what the Instructors ask of you, you will be surprised what you can accomplish.

43 year old Jess Ramos lost 51 lbs by participating in every class at Smash! He takes BJJ, Kickboxing, Yoga, Strength & Conditioning, Self-Defense, Bootcamp & Kettlebells. Jess won the Jiu Jitsu US Open just one year after joining Smash! When he started Smash he was 187lbs and competed at 136lb weight class! Most of our students choose not to compete but Jess had made such amazing progress that he decided to test himself at one of the toughest jiu jitsu competitions in the US and brought home a Gold Medal!

New Strength & Conditioning Instructors making noise at Smash!

Smash Gyms Strength & Conditioning Program has grown rapidly in the last six months because of our awesome instructors. If you take this class you DO NOT need personal training. Our certified personal trainers and veteran instructors strive to help each member of the program reach their fitness potential. You will get stronger and faster if you come to our classes. Our members have seen amazing progress in their fitness level. This beginner friendly class has a strong focus on safety and performance results!

Below are some highlights of just a few of our members amazing progress. Many others have also seen amazing results.

When Joe Silveria first started he couldn’t do a pull up. Now he can do 12 pull ups! His deadlift went from  255lbs to 475lbs!

Debbie Sanchez was not able to do one pull up. Now she can do 3! She can now overhead squat her body weight. She can also clean and jerk 115lbs!

Prathap Muthana doubled his squat! When he started the program he could squat only 95lbs. Now he can do over 205lbs!

Sherry He could only dead lift 75lbs 5x when she first started. Now she can deadlift 145lbs 5 times!

Bertilla Meow could only deadlift 113lbs and is now up to 173lbs!

16 year-old Ibrahim Elsakka has seen amazing improvement as well. His deadlift increased from 113lbs to 315lbs!

His squat 175lbs to 225lbs; Front Squat 135 to 210lbs; and 400m run from :74 seconds  to :69 seconds.

Smash Gyms got me in Shape for my Wedding!

For all the soon to be Brides:

Planning a wedding is stressful! Stress can cause weight gain! What better reason to start working out since we all know that exercise will help us lose weight, get in shape, and most of all relieve stress.

I know what it is like as I had my wedding last year. Of all the priorities on my to do list, losing weight and getting in shape was at the top. I pictured a beautiful strapless wedding dress that would hopefully show off toned shoulders and an hourglass figure. I knew the wedding dress was an “investment” so I had to make sure I had the “insurance” to pull it off.

My “insurance” was the Smash Fit program. SmashFit helped me lose weight for my wedding. All I had to do was show up! Every class is like a group personal training session. Because you are actually learning something in every class it helps you keep you mind off all the calories you are burning. It was fun!

By being consistent with the SmashFit program at Smash I was able to totally transform my body and lose about 12 lbs of fat within 3 months. I also gained lean muscle which I got many compliments on!

Having the group class format kept me from cheating on my work out. With other people in the class I was encouraged and motivated to finish the class and even stay for another. The kickboxing and zumba classes helped me with the cardio to burn the fat. The boot camp and weight lifting classes helped me build the muscles to get the toned shoulders and arms I wanted for my dress. Not to mention toned legs and abs for the bikinis I would be wearing on my honey moon in Thailand. I was so motivated to get in shape that I scheduled my life around the class schedules. Mon-Fri from 5:00-7:00 was dedicated to working out. If I had to miss a day during the week I knew I could depend on the Saturday morning classes with Krav Maga and Kettlebells.
